Printing party
Posted by Wendy Dubbeld on at 22:10I am searching for a company in Europe that can print our designs on the greige fabric (bamboo polyester/elastane blend) in a sustainable manner. Does anyone have suggestions?

Hi Wendy, just to clarify, you haven’t decided on fabric yet? Do you have material alternatives already? Can you please specify what product the material is intended to be used on? Where is your intended manufacturing for this specific product?
All of this will help us to guide you further. -
Hi Klas, yes I have decided on fabric. We are buying this with our supplier in different colors and wanted to have 2 prints on offwhite as well, but we found out quite late that their printing facilities are 1. quite expensive and 2. not environmentally friendly. We are now having part of the fabric dyed in offwhite, the background for our intended print, and hope to be able to find a printing facility. The manufacturing of the fabric takes place in Taiwan, the manufacturing of garments takes place in the Netherlands en we would prefer to have the printing done in the Netherlands or another European country. The fabrics are 92% recycled polyester/8% elastane and 89% bamboo polyester/11% elastane.
Hope this helps! -
Hi Wendy!
OK, thanks for the info, we now understand better what your needs are.
Have you talked to: http://www.mimakieurope.com/products/textile-printers/. They can probably guide you further, and they are based in Netherlands.
Here are some other printers you can talk to: http://ciesseprint.com/index.php?language=en, http://www.hamletekstil.com.tr
Hope this helps:)
Let me know how it goes! -

Hi Thomas
In your case, I would say the printing technique depends on the material you choose for your garments. Also, it depends on the manufacturer you work with and what facilities they have for printing. Most of the time the manufacturer outsources the printing. I would ask them what type of printing they can facilitate for your products and then let them do 2-3 mockups with different techniques and you can pick the one that is most in you liking and that is most durable for your products.
