In your case, I would say the printing technique depends on the material you choose for your garments. Also, it depends on the manufacturer you work with and what facilities they have for printing. Most of the time the manufacturer outsources the printing. I would ask them what type of printing they can facilitate for your products and then let them do 2-3 mockups with different techniques and you can pick the one that is most in you liking and that is most durable for your products.
