I am looking for a durable, waterproof, comfortable sustainable material for children’s outdoor trousers. Natural materials fit with my brand. I wanted to use organic waxed cotton but it is proving to be too expensive. Has anyone got any advice on finding a cheaper alternative? I am looking at a wool alternative that has a waterproof finish think it’s called polymide? I have scoured the perforamnce days website but finding this stage a challenge because I am not from a textile background so am learning as I go.
